MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS) DEPARTMENT
The MIS Department provides innovative solutions to connect, organize, operate, and maintain the ACHA's computer systems and network to communicate effectively with the world in a manner that expresses dedication to ethical standards and technical proficiencies.
The MIS Department is responsible for maintaining the servers, switches, cabling and connectivity for the Central Office at 625 Stanwix Street and the 43 management offices at various locations throughout Allegheny County.
The MIS Department manages:
- 7 physical servers and 19 virtual servers
- 160 workstation computers, including the maintenance of all hardware and installation of all software
- The Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure
- The ACHA email system
- The ACHA website, including the design, implementation, and server-side programming
- The SQL Database that houses the ACHA HUD, financial, and tenant records
- The transmission of data to HUD
- The Mitel VOIP Phone System
- The technical training of ACHA staff in new software
- Custom application development, with many custom built applications created by the MIS Department
SUPPORTIVE SERVICES
- Report Writing: Demographic Reports, Unit Status Reports, Audit Reports and Custom Reports upon request
- Recordkeeping: PIC Reconciliation - maintain accurate records with HUD, 50058 Daily updates to PIC
- Partner Portal: Assist Landlords with login issues or other errors
- Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC): distribute HUD Inspection scores and request appeals
- Staff Support: assist employees upon request
